PINNACLE MICRO ANNOUNCES NEW WINDOWS VERSION OF RECORDABLE COMPACT DISC MASTERING SYSTEM

 IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Pinnacle Micro, Inc. (NASDAQ: PNCL) today announced the introduction of the RCD-202 PC, a Windows version of its recordable compact disc (CD) mastering system. The RCD-202 PC allows users to easily master CD-DA (audio), mixed mode (audio and CD-ROM), and CD-ROM Mode 2 (CD-XA and CD-I) discs.
 This recordable CD system creates discs compliant with the ISO 9660 standard and is readable on any standard CD-ROM drive. Users have the ability to write and read data in more than one recording session as well as to create and test the image of the data before recording. In addition the RCD-202 PC supports multi-track recording so users can record 99 tracks on any one disc.
 The RCD-202 PC retails for $4,195 and includes both RCD hardware and RCD-PC software. Each blank compact disc retails at $39 for 74 minute/680 megabyte capacity.
