It is the center of a fertile farm area where citrus fruits and flowers are grown.  - Pink Dot Inc., the Camarillo-based grocery delivery service, announced a strategic partnership with Sparkletts Water on Thursday that includes cross-marketing and preferred status for Sparkletts products.

Officials with privately held Pink Dot said the deal, for a minimum of two years, will help their company expand its reach into new markets.

The deal will also push at least one Sparkletts competitor, Arrowhead arrowhead, any plant of the genus Sagittaria, widely distributed marsh or aquatic herbs of the primitive family Alismataceae (water-plantain family). Officials with Sparkletts, a subsidiary of Danone Group, said the deal will not affect the company's existing delivery service.

But they said they hope the ground-breaking deal - which kicks in on May 1 - will help Sparkletts tap into Pink Dot's e-commerce presence and upcoming expansion.
