PIMA's annual management conference.The 84th Annual Industry Management Conference of the Paper Industry Management Association (PIMA) is geared toward helping pulp and paper professionals build worth and profit, identify markets, build leadership/management skills, and increase shareholder value. The meeting is slated for June 29 to July 2, 2003, at the Hilton New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. "We aimed to enhance the 2003 event with even more educational content than in previous years," said Jeff Thorne, conference chair. The forum is designed to address attendees' HR concerns in an innovative and constructive format. The conference program also allows attendees to tailor the experience to their particular management needs by attending sessions in one of three focused tracks: * Show Me the Money: A focus on improving mill safety, reliability, quality, and output. Programs include a roundtable based on a new survey of industry-wide maintenance and reliability practices. * Shareholder Value and Corporate Accountability: Participants will gain tips on maximizing their companies' worth and staying competitive. One session will feature an interactive discussion of methods to effectively measure and track mill performance. * Reaching for the Apple: Planting the Seeds for a Fruitful fruit·ful adj. 1. a.
