PICK OF THE DAY.
Gosh, that's a mouthful, isn't it? Those Germans and their big words, eh? I'm glad our national game hasn't denigrated itself with such misguided, shoddy corporate branding.
Me and my mates are off to the sportsdirect.com@St James' Park on Saturday.
In Germany, the @sign is referred to as Klammeraffe, which means spider monkey, so I bet Newcastle's new stadium name (sportsdirect.com Klammeraffe St James' Park) seems confusing, really odd and excessively wordy to the Germans.
Such a shame that the concise beauty of the new moniker is lost in translation for them.
Germany will be baffled by the spider monkey stadium
