It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672. Photographers Association (SCVPA) will hold its third annual print exhibition and competition from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Valencia Valencia, region, Spain Valencia (välān`thēä), autonomous region (1990 pop. 3,902,429) and former kingdom, E Spain, on the Mediterranean. It now comprises the provinces of Alicante, Castellón, and Valencia. Hyatt Hyatt is an international brand of hotels within the Global Hyatt Corporation that operates numerous properties. Hyatt is a part of the Marmon Group which is owned by Chicago's Pritzker Family. Mark S. Hoplamazian is the current President and CEO of Global Hyatt Corporation. . The event will include an adult and junior photo competition, a creative photography exhibition, the release of the new book, ``A Day in the Life of Santa Clarita Valley,'' educational classes and exhibits sponsored by Santa Clarita Valley photographers and businesses. Raffle prizes, donated do·nate v. do·nat·ed, do·nat·ing, do·nates v.tr. To present as a gift to a fund or cause; contribute. v.intr. To make a contribution to a fund or cause. by local businesses, will be awarded to those attending the event. There will also be educational classes for the public including choosing and using a digital camera, making your own prints, improving your family photos, choosing a wedding photographer and more. These are offered at no charge. The new book, ``A Day In the Life of Santa Clarita Valley,'' will make its debut during the Expo. It includes photographs taken throughout Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country, on June June: see month. 12, 2004, by dozens of resident photographers. Co-sponsored by the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society, the book offers a unique view of our valley at a special point in time. Images entered in the competition may be submitted by adults and children, amateurs and professionals. Any Santa Clarita Valley resident may enter.
