 PHOENIX SUNS' KEVIN JOHNSON BUILDS 'DREAM' HOME IN SACRAMENTO;
 ST. HOPE ACADEMY IS SECOND HOME FOR YOUTHS WITH A DREAM
 WHO: Kevin Johnson, point guard for the Phoenix Suns, will
 hold a grand opening ceremony for the completed St. Hope
 Academy.
 WHAT: St. Hope Academy is a youth organization that assists
 children and teenagers who would not otherwise enjoy a
 supportive environment. Twenty youths are currently
 involved in the program. The 7,000-square-foot facility
 includes six classrooms, a library, a multi-purpose room,
 a recreation room, two bedrooms, a dining room and the
 administrative offices.

 Sacramento, Calif.
 WHY: Johnson purchased a vacant lot and orchestrated
 fundraising efforts to pay for the construction of the
 facility. Along with other community support, he has
 teamed up with athletic shoe manufacturer Converse Inc.
 for an innovative funding source. Converse donates a
 percentage from the sale of each pair of its new, high-
 tech Accelerator basketball shoes to St. Hope Academy.
