PHOENIX LASER SYSTEMS RELEASES MODEL 2500 OPHTHALMIC LASER WORKSTATION
 SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Phoenix Laser Systems Inc. (AMEX: PXS) today announced the introduction of the new Model 2500 Ophthalmic Laser Workstation. This new model, scheduled for commercial production in 1993, was unveiled at the American Academy of Ophthalmology in Dallas.
 Both Phoenix Laser Systems Inc. and Storz Instrument Co. (a division of American Cyanamid) are conducting demonstrations with physicians in anticipation of Storz Instrument Co.'s role in the worldwide sales and distribution of the workstation. Delivery of the Model 2500 is expected to commence in mid-1993.
 Phoenix Laser Systems Inc. is a developer of integrated laser workstations primarily for use by the medical community. The company's initial efforts have been focused on the design, development and testing of its first product, the Phoenix Ophtalmic Laser Workstation. The company's technology permits surgery designed to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism, as well as a large number of eye disorders which are untreatable or only partially treatable with current technology.
