PHILIPS BECOMES IRE'S DISTRIBUTOR IN EUROPE

 BALTIMORE, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Information Resource Engineering, Inc. (NASDAQ: IREG), today announced that Philips Professional Services, a subsidiary of Philips Electronics Corporation, has agreed to distribute IRE's encryption-based Network Security Systems in Europe. Philips will have an exclusive right to distribute IRE products in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands for three years. Additional territories may be added in the future.
 Philips Professional Services specializes in the design, production and installation of data security systems for clients throughout Europe. Philips will now also offer IRE's DES-based products to financial institutions and IRE's proprietary ATLAS algorithm to other clients, including governments. Philips will also offer installation and maintenance services to new and existing IRE clients in Europe.
 Commenting on today's announcement, IRE Chairman and CEO Anthony A. Caputo stated: "We are particularly pleased to have Philips join our growing list of international distributors. Philips personnel are extremely knowledgeable in our field. In addition, they are strategically located in Brussels, the capital of the European Community."
