PHILANTHROPIST OTT DIES AT AGE 51.

NEWHALL - Valencia resident Randy Ott, a business owner and local philanthropist, died Thursday morning of a heart attack at his vacation home Vacation Home

A home separate from an individual's primary residence that is used for recreational purposes and may also be rented out at unused times.

``He was a great guy - very philanthropic and a hard worker. He was just full of life and I'll miss him a great deal,'' Fleming said.

On top of his work with the Boys & Girls Club, Ott was a member of the board of the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Health Foundation, where he contributed generously to the foundation's programs.

Recently, Ott donated granite from his store to some of the hospital's building projects.

``He was an exceptionally nice man, charming sweet man,'' said Allan Cameron, a friend of Ott's.

Ott is survived by his wife, Anna, and their daughter Deana Ott, who also lives in Valencia.

Services for Ott had not yet been planned.
