PGA TOUR's TPC San Francisco Bay at Stonebrae Announces New Personnel Appointments.

Course Will Host Nationwide Tour Event in 2009 Benefiting Bay Area Children's Charities

SAN FRANCISCO -- The PGA TOUR's TPC San Francisco Bay at Stonebrae, which will serve as home to the Nationwide Tour's new Stonebrae Classic March 30 - April 5, 2009, has made three key appointments to its management team. Joining the team are new General Manager Jody Brothers; Director of Sales & Marketing Rick Gross; and Stonebrae Classic Tournament Director Monica Smith.

Jody Brothers joins TPC San Francisco Bay as General Manager after serving as Director of Business Development for TPC San Antonio, where he oversaw all non-construction golf course business affairs - including membership development, tournament operations and marketing. Prior to joining the PGA TOUR's TPC Network of clubs, Brothers founded Uptown Golf Company, a golf-related e-commerce and manufacturers' rep firm based in Dallas, TX. Other experience includes nearly nine years with American Golf Corporation, serving in a variety of sales, marketing and operational roles, including Executive Director of American Golf's National Golf Club and Platinum Club. Brothers has worked at golf courses continuously since the age of 14. He turned professional in 1992 after graduating from California State University at Chico, where he played on the golf team. His career in the golf industry began formally that year as a golf professional at Butte Creek Country Club. During his playing career, he has competed on various golf mini-tours throughout the United States.

As Director of Sales & Marketing, Rick Gross will be responsible for all membership-related issues at TPC San Francisco Bay, including member recruitment, retention and special services. Previously he served as president of Peoples' Properties and Home Loans in Campbell, CA, a position he held for 23 years. A lifelong Bay Area resident, Gross is an avid golfer and tournament player. His many charitable endeavors include helping to raise more than $300,000 for his local high school, Homestead High School.

Monica Smith was appointed Tournament Director for the Stonebrae Classic after serving as Assistant Tournament Director for three years for the Nationwide Tour's Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship at Wente Vineyard, where she oversaw all day-to-day tournament operations. This included volunteer recruitment and training; vendor and sponsor relations; marketing/business development; event management; and merchandising. Prior experience includes serving as Tournament Coordinator for high-profile events at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Morgan Hill, CA, and as a Project Specialist for Pensco Trust Company, a prominent trust company specializing in self-directed IRAs.

The course at Stonebrae was developed by Stonebrae LP, part of YCS Golf Properties, known for its award-winning Dallas National Golf Club. Opened for member play in 2007, TPC San Francisco Bay's magnificent par-72, 7,200-yard layout was designed by world-renowned Scottish golf course architect David McLay Kidd of DMK Golf Design, designer of Bandon Dunes in Oregon and currently in the process of completing the new Castle Course at St. Andrews. The Scottish-influenced traditional layout was etched into the Walpert Ridge hillside on 1,700 pristine acres more than 1,500 feet above the Bay, and features sweeping panoramic vistas, an abundance of rolling grasslands, wind-twisted oaks, and lichen-glazed rock outcroppings, creating a stunning natural backdrop for a challenging but enjoyable test of golf.

A 32,000 square-foot Craftsman-inspired clubhouse designed by award-winning architect Mike Marsh is planned, featuring luxurious men's and women's locker rooms; sports and wellness facilities; upscale dining; and a full-service golf shop. Other world-class amenities include an expansive practice facility including five target greens with bunkers and a chipping and putting green.
