Other experience includes nearly nine years with American Golf Corporation, serving in a variety of sales, marketing and operational roles, including Executive Director of American Golf's National Golf Club and Platinum Club. As Director of Sales & Marketing, Rick Gross will be responsible for all membership-related issues at TPC San Francisco Bay, including member recruitment, retention and special services. Previously he served as president of Peoples' Properties and Home Loans in Campbell, CA, a position he held for 23 years. A lifelong Bay Area resident, Gross is an avid golfer and tournament player. His many charitable endeavors include helping to raise more than $300,000 for his local high school, Homestead High School Homestead High School is the name of several high schools in the United States.
Monica Smith was appointed Tournament Director for the Stonebrae Classic after serving as Assistant Tournament Director for three years for the Nationwide Tour's Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship The Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship is a golf tournament on the Nationwide Tour. It is played annually at The Course at Wente Vineyards in Livermore, California, USA. The 2007 purse was $625,000, with $112,500 going to the winner. at Wente Vineyard, where she oversaw all day-to-day tournament operations. This included volunteer recruitment and training; vendor and sponsor relations; marketing/business development; event management; and merchandising. Prior experience includes serving as Tournament Coordinator for high-profile events at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Morgan Hill, CA, and as a Project Specialist for Pensco Trust Company, a prominent trust company specializing in self-directed IRAs. The Scottish-influenced traditional layout was etched into the Walpert Ridge hillside on 1,700 pristine acres more than 1,500 feet above the Bay, and features sweeping panoramic vistas, an abundance of rolling grasslands, wind-twisted oaks, and lichen-glazed rock outcroppings, creating a stunning natural backdrop for a challenging but enjoyable test of golf. A 32,000 square-foot Craftsman-inspired clubhouse designed by award-winning architect Mike Marsh is planned, featuring luxurious men's and women's locker rooms; sports and wellness facilities; upscale dining; and a full-service golf shop.
