The event will be held from 10a.m. to 5p.m. Oct.7 at Lancaster City Park, 43011 10th St. West. Admission is free. Bark at the Park will include a pet costume contest, a Frisbee competition, a human-pet look-alike contest, and even a singing contest for musically inclined pooches. Other attractions include a live auction, hound hound, classification used by breeders and kennel clubs to designate dogs bred to hunt animals. Most of the dogs in this group hunt by scent, their quarry ranging from such large game as bear or elk to small game and vermin; ground scenters trail slowly with the head and human interactive games, food, vendors, specialty guests and more. ``The city has hosted Bark at the Park for over 10 years and is proud to promote responsible dog ownership,'' Vice Mayor Ed Sileo said.
