PETER MILLS ELECTED CHAIRMAN AND CEO OF ROSS ROY GROUP

 BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Peter R. Mills was today elected chairman and chief executive officer of Ross Roy Group, the nation's 17th-largest consolidated advertising agency.
 Mills succeeds Glen W. Fortinberry, who died of leukemia on Aug. 17.
 The Ross Roy board recruited Mills in June to be president and chief executive officer of Bloomfield Hills-based Ross Roy Inc., the largest of the Group's six marketing communications companies.
 Mills joined Ross Roy after resigning his position as president and chief operating officer of BBDO North America. In that role, he led the BBDO negotiating team that explored purchasing Ross Roy Group earlier this year. That transaction was never consummated.
 Mills was president and CEO of Comcore/BBDO Inc. from 1986 to 1991, before becoming president and COO of BBDO North America. He had also held a number of executive positions over a 20-year period with J. Walter Thompson in Canada, New York and Australia.
 "Ross Roy is a unique company whose resources, talent and experience are helping advertisers to compete effectively in a crowded marketplace," Mills said. "Ross Roy has the ability through sales training, merchandising, sales promotion and marketing communications to help companies overcome some of the fragmentation of traditional print and electronic media.

 Ross Roy Group is composed of six advertising, public relations and marketing communications companies with offices in Michigan, New York, Ohio and Canada.
