that will be commercialized in the first quarter of 2007 by the Voridian Div. of Eastman Chemical Co., Kingsport, Tenn. Its ParaStar PET reportedly makes bottles with unprecedented clarity and improved consistency. Also claimed is at least 25% lower acetaldehyde acetaldehyde (ăs'ĭtăl`dəhīd) or ethanal (ĕth`ənăl'), CH3CHO, colorless liquid aldehyde, sometimes simply called aldehyde. It melts at −123°C;, boils at 20.  levels, which makes the resin resin, any of a class of amorphous solids or semisolids. Resins are found in nature and are chiefly of vegetable origin. They are typically light yellow to dark brown in color; tasteless; odorless or faintly aromatic; translucent or transparent; brittle, fracturing  particularly attractive for bottled water. (Eastman is not releasing any technical data on these resins for publication.)

ParaStar PET reportedly requires no equipment or process changes. It is produced with Eastman's IntegRx process, which is said to cut costs of energy, labor, and equipment. A key feature is eliminating the solid-stating process, which alone cuts manufacturing costs by 15%. Tel: (888) 867-4342 * PT Direct: 436YR
