Sophomore Paige Carroll, who plays Antigone, says that the cast is working together well. ``I'm so excited,'' Carroll said, adding that this is her first experience on the stage. ``The thing I like best about my character is how she stands up for her beliefs totally and complete, even though she is going to die.'' Carroll is understudied by Donna Farag. The show, set in 1957, features rival gangs of teens - the Irish/Polish ``Jets'' and the Puerto Rican ``Sharks'' - battling for turf in western Manhattan. Based conceptually on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet Romeo and Juliet star-crossed lovers die as teenagers. [Br.
