Accuride of Santa Fe Springs, CA, has named Greg Rewers director of strategic marketing planning. He will be responsible for market management, new product and new market development and pricing.

Knape & Vogt Mfg. Co. of Grand Rapids, Ml, has announced that Jack Poindexter will resign as chief financial officer, treasurer and secretary. He has accepted the position of chief financial officer at a private company in northern Michigan. He had been with KV since 1997.

Cecilia Balazs has been named chief executive officer of the National Kitchen & Bath Assn., effective immediately. She had been serving as the association's chief operating officer since March 1998 and as chief staff officer since September 1998.

Joseph Gonnella has been named president of Formica Corp. North America of Evendale, OH. He has held executive positions in Engelherd Corp., Amcast Automotive Products Group and General Motors Corp.

Ron Kaemingk has joined Stiles Machinery Inc. of Grand Rapids, Ml, as sales representative for the territories of Colorado, New Mexico and part of Wyoming. Ben Dipzinski has been named product specialist of Stiles' veneer and sanding product group.

Mary Yoder has accepted a new role as sales administrator at SCM GROUP USA Inc. of Duluth, GA. She represents all product lines and is the in-house point-of-contact for national distribution as well as dealer and customer sales training registrar. SCM GROUP also named Michael Kahn as marketing assistant. He is responsible for data base management, Web site maintenance and development and lead fulfillment.

Steelcase Inc. has consolidated the leadership for all manufacturing, sales and marketing operations related to its core business in the U.S. and Canada with the naming of a new Steelcase North America president. Bob Ballard, executive vice president of business operations for the Grand Rapids, MI-based company since 1996, was named president of Steelcase North America on Nov. 2. This position, a new one within Steelcase, broadens even further the scope of responsibility of Ballard, Steelcase's second-in-command. He has been with the company for 33 years.

Andy Shook has been appointed area sales manager for the South by Biesse Group America of Charlotte, NC. He has more than 25 years of experience in the woodworking industry.

The International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Supply Fair -- USA has appointed Paula Emde as director of marketing and communications. She has almost 10 years' experience in trade show and conference marketing. IWF 2000, to be held in Atlanta, GA, is expected to draw 1,200 exhibiting companies.

Rick Meece has been named plant manager by Grass America Inc. of Kernersville, NC. He has 29 years of experience in the metalworking industry, and his accomplishments include achieving OS 9000 and ISO 9002 certification.

Dollken Profiles Ltd. of Mississauga, ONT, has appointed Markus Raves market development manager. Dollken is a manufacturer of thermoplastic edgebanding to the furniture industry.

Carter Products Co. of Grand Rapids, MI, has named Jeffery Folkert to the newly created position of product engineering manager. Folkert had served as product support specialist for Carter prior to the appointment.

National Starch and Chemical Co. of Bridgewater, NJ, has appointed Anthony Rindone to divisional vice president, Adhesives Manufacturing. Rindone will lead global efforts to improve manufacturing processes, including manufacturing strategy and excellence, major expansion and safety.
