PERRY PROJECTS SALES IN EXCESS OF $670 MILLION FOR FISCAL '92
AND $710 MILLION FOR FISCAL '93
NEW YORK, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Speaking to more than 100 security analysts and portfolio managers, Perry Drug Stores, Inc. (NYSE: PDS) said today it expects to report sales of more than $670 million for fiscal 1992 which ends Oct. 31 and $710 million for fiscal 1993.
In a retail drug seminar in New York sponsored by Salomon Brothers, Perry said it anticipates sales in comparable stores for 1992 of approximately 11 percent. The company will report its fiscal 1992 results in mid-December.
The presentation was made by Jack A. Robinson, Perry chairman and president. Robinson pointed out that the expected $670 million in 1992 sales will be achieved despite the fact that Perry, in 1992, operated 22 fewer stores which generated $32 million in 1991.
Robinson was joined in Perry's presentation by Jerry E. Stone, senior vice president and chief financial officer, who reviewed Perry's financial record, and Andy Giancamilli, senior vice president- operations, who discussed Perry's operations.
Perry, a New York Stock Exchange company headquartered in Pontiac, Mich., operates 206 drugstores in the state. It is Michigan's largest drugstore chain and the 14th largest in the U.S.
