QUARTZ HILL - Country, jazz, rock, and rhythm and blues rhythm and blues (R&B)

 music are on tap Saturday and Sunday for the 2004 Quartz Hill Almond Blossom Festival The Almond Blossom Festival is an annual arts, social, and entertainment festival held every year on the first weekend of August at Willunga, South Australia, Australia. .

Along with food, games, crafts sales and other activities, the 55th Almond Blossom Festival will feature a musical lineup that includes country group The Lost Canyon Rangers, rock and rhythm and blues group Cervantes, The Tony Capko Jazz Quartet and Tony Capko Bump City.

``This is probably one of the best musical lineups we have had in a few years,'' said Robert Plunkett, president of the Quartz Hill Chamber of Commerce, lead sponsors of the Almond Blossom Festival.

This year's festival, with the theme ``Almonds, Crafts and More in 2004,'' kicks off Saturday morning with parades along 50th Street West north of Avenue M. The pet parade begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the main parade at 10 a.m.

Festival admission is free.
