Latin-influenced dance

to come to the Hult

Ballet Fantastique and Traduza Dance Company will perform ``Mosaico de Danza,'' an evening of Spanish-inspired ballet and Brazilian modern dance, at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Hult Center's Soreng Theatre, Seventh Avenue and Willamette Street.

Eugene's Ballet Fantastique will perform variations from the ballet "Don Quixote" and dance to flamenco music of "Mission Impossible."

Traduza, from Roseburg, will perform Brazilian-American dance set to bossa nova bos·sa no·va

1. A style of popular Brazilian music derived from the samba but with more melodic and harmonic complexity and less emphasis on percussion.

2. A lively Brazilian dance that is similar to the samba.
 and Amazonian rhythms.

Tickets are $12 adults, $8 students and seniors, through the Hult box office, 682-5000.

 will cap `Music Day' with evening concert

Lane Community College will hold a college music day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, concluding with an evening performance featuring a number of guest artists.

During the daytime program, the public is invited to sit in on music classes and meet college representatives from Marylhurst, Eastern Oregon Eastern Oregon is a geographical term that is generally taken to mean the area of the state of Oregon east of the Cascade Range, save the region around The Dalles and sometimes Klamath County. The evening performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Performance Hall.

Artists include pianists Diane Baxter and Jackie Morell, and vocalists Kevin Helppie and Amy Chisholm from Western Oregon University; Matt Cooper Matt Cooper may refer to:

, piano, and Leandro Espinosa, cello, from Eastern Oregon University Eastern Oregon University (or "EOU") is one of seven state-funded, four-year universities of higher education in the State of Oregon and belongs to the Oregon University System. ; and Charles Turley, voice, from the University of Oregon. Pianists Barbara Myrick, Larry Clabby and Jim Greenwood from LCC will also perform in the evening concert.

Tickets are $10 ($8 students and seniors) at the door.

Thursday noon concert to feature guitar-vocal duo

Frank Riha and Wayne Perry, a guitar and vocal duo performing as Still Waters, will be featured in a SHOcase concert at 12:15 p.m. Thursday in the lobby of the Hult Center, Seventh Avenue and Willamette Street.

The Still Waters performance will include close harmony work similar to the Everly Brothers, as well as country-western music.

Riha and Perry are regular performers in the Eugene-Springfield area.

Audience members are encouraged to bring their lunches to the lobby where beverages will be available for purchase.
