PERFORMANCE NOTES.Byline: The Register-Guard Latin-influenced dance to come to the Hult Ballet Fantastique and Traduza Dance Company will perform ``Mosaico de Danza,'' an evening of Spanish-inspired ballet and Brazilian modern dance, at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Hult Center's Soreng Theatre, Seventh Avenue and Willamette Street. Eugene's Ballet Fantastique will perform variations from the ballet "Don Quixote" and dance to flamenco music of "Mission Impossible." Traduza, from Roseburg, will perform Brazilian-American dance set to bossa nova bos·sa no·va n. 1. A style of popular Brazilian music derived from the samba but with more melodic and harmonic complexity and less emphasis on percussion. 2. Tickets are $10 ($8 students and seniors) at the door. Thursday noon concert to feature guitar-vocal duo Frank Riha and Wayne Perry, a guitar and vocal duo performing as Still Waters, will be featured in a SHOcase concert at 12:15 p.m. Thursday in the lobby of the Hult Center, Seventh Avenue and Willamette Street. The Still Waters performance will include close harmony work similar to the Everly Brothers, as well as country-western music. Riha and Perry are regular performers in the Eugene-Springfield area. Audience members are encouraged to bring their lunches to the lobby where beverages will be available for purchase. |
