PEPPERDINE VS. ST. MARY'S.

Tipoff: 7:30 p.m., McKeon Pavilion.

Radio: KWNK-AM (670).

Pepperdine (3-5, 5-15) update: The Waves are the tough-luck team of the West Coast Conference, with four of their five losses by a total of 11 points, including a 52-49 loss to Portland last weekend. ``The loss against Portland was tough to swallow because we played well enough to win,'' Pepperdine coach Lorenzo Romar said. The Waves are only 1-7 on the road this season.

St. Mary's (14-7, 4-4) update: The Gaels were 10-3 in nonconference but have struggled (4-4) in WCC play. Their 7-foot-3, 345-pound center Brad ``Big Continent'' Millard ranks first in blocks (69), second in rebounding (7.1) and third in field-goal percentage (60.5).
