PEPPERDINE LOSES TO UCR.

RIVERSIDE -- The Pepperdine women's basketball Women's basketball is one of the few games which developed in tandem with men's. It was UCR's first win over Pepperdine since 1985.

The Waves trailed just 33-29 at halftime, but made only 8 of 33 shots after the break as UC Riverside (4-5) took control. Pepperdine trailed 52-46 with 8:46 left, but UCR (Under Color Removal) A method for reducing the amount of printing ink used. It substitutes black for gray color (equal amounts of cyan, magenta and yellow). Thus black ink is used instead of the three CMY inks. UCR shot 49 percent (27 of 55) for the game, while Pepperdine shot 30 percent (17 of 56).

UCR also outrebounded Pepperdine 44-28.
