San Jose, Calif.-based FastParts.com named Jim Garcia Vice President of Technology and Operations. FastParts.com is a business-to-business internet-based trading exchange and marketplace for the electronic parts industry. Prior to joining FastParts, Garcia was director of Hotel Network Operations for On Command Corp.

Comergent of Belmont, Calif., appointed Shelley Symonds Vice President of Corporate Marketing, Matthew Kilguss Vice President of Business Development, and Chris Krook Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Comergent, Symonds spent five years at Oracle, where her most recent position was senior director, Worldwide Marketing. Kilguss spent four years at Trilogy Development Group in senior positions. Krook was formerly CFO of Connectify Inc. Comergent develops distributed e- business systems for enterprises with complex selling models.

Atlanta-based Equifax appointed Bill Catucci Executive Vice President and Group Executive of its North American Information Services Group. Catucci was most recently president and chief executive officer of Unitel/AT&T Canada Long Distance Services. Equifax is a global provider of information management, transaction processing and knowledge-based services.

John Guinasso was named Vice President of Network and Data Operations at San Jose, Calif.-based Exclaim Technologies. Guinasso joins Exclaim from Netcom Inc., where he was director of Corporate Integrity and Risk Management. Exclaim is an Internet application services provider (ASP) that develops and operates online business-to-business trading hubs.

SPS Commerce, a St. Paul, Minn., Internet-based business-to-business e- commerce solutions provider, appointed Craig Evans Vice President of Marketing. Evans comes to SPS Commerce from Periscope Marketing Communications where he was director of interactive marketing.

Analytical Surveys Inc., an Indianapolis provider of customized data conversion and digital mapping services for geographic information systems (GIS) and related "spatial data" markets, appointed Vince Otto Chief Financial Officer. Otto previously served as chief financial officer for the USA Group Inc.

Summus Limited, a Raleigh, N.C., pioneer in wavelet-based technology and a developer of Internet-based video and image compression software, named Michael Boyd Vice President of Business Development, Nicole Shelley Vice President of Product Management, Jyoti Lynch Senior Manager of Marketing and Sales, and Janie Reed Director of Communications. Boyd joins Summus from ABB where he was director of product management for a $130 million division. Prior to Summus, Shelley was senior director of Electronic Commerce for the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA). Reed has held executive positions with ABB and GTE.

RateXchange Inc., a San Francisco-based wholesale bandwidth exchange, named Paul Wescott Vice President of Business Development and Planning and Russell Matulich Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining RateXchange, Wescott was vice president of Marketing and Interim CEO of TimeShift. Matulich was vice president of Carrier Sales at Frontier Telecommunications. RateXchange provides Web-based "lead generation" for domestic and international telephony traffic, private lines and satellite capacity and market information services.
