New York-based online gift and card seller Kardz.com hired two new senior executives. George Nadel and Mark Nemery join the firm as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Vice President of Merchandising, respectively. Nadel formerly served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for retail chain Leohmann's Inc. Most recently, Nemery worked at I Street Labs, an Internet incubator.

Alloptic Inc. of Pleasanton, Calif., appointed Armando Pereira Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales. Pereira has held senior management positions in engineering, marketing and sales at several other telecom equipment manufacturers.
