Ariba Inc. of Mountain View, Calif., named Larry Mueller President and COO. Mueller joined Ariba as chief operating officer in September 1999. Ariba is a provider of B2B eCommerce services and solutions.

Firstwave Technology Inc., an Atlanta, Ga., provider of Internet-based relationship management applications, promoted Debora Schum to Vice President, North American Sales. Before her arrival at Firstwave in February 1998 as Business Development Manager, Schum was with Computer Associates where she consistently ranked among the top 10 sales representatives company-wide during her 11-year tenure.

Logility Inc., the Atlanta-based supplier of business-to-business (B2B) collaborative commerce solutions, named Karin Bursa Vice President of Marketing. Bursa was formerly vice president of Marketing at American Software, Logility's parent company.

Israel-based NICE Systems appointed Koby Huberman, former vice president of marketing for the Enterprise Internetworking Systems Group (EIS) of Lucent Technologies, as NICE's new Senior Vice President of Global Marketing. Reinforcing NICE's global management team, Huberman will be responsible for guiding the company's corporate marketing strategy and leading the worldwide marketing teams, reporting to NICE's Chairman, Benny Levin. NICE is a global provider of integrated digital recording and quality management solutions.

Informative Inc., the San Francisco-based provider of Web-based, real-time information solutions, appointed Howard Pomerantz Vice President of Engineering. Pomerantz joins Informative from TIBCO Software Inc. where he served as a Senior Manager and Architect on such accounts as Bell South, Cisco Systems, and PageNet.

Advertising.com Inc., a Baltimore-based new media direct marketing company, appointed Jeffrey Dickey Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). As CSO, Dickey will oversee the Internet strategies of Advertising.com and is also responsible for new product management and strategic partnerships. From 1995 to 1997 Dickey was vice president of Business Development for the Internet advertising company DoubleClick Inc.

Fiberlink. The Blue Bell, Pa., network-independent Enterprise Services Provider (ESP), named Skip Taylor Vice President of Business and Product Development. Taylor brings considerable experience in VPNs, networking, and remote access technology. Before joining Fiberlink, he was director of Product Marketing, Remote Access and Switched VPN Services for UUNET.

Fairfax, Va.-based American Management Systems (AMS) named Paul Turner Vice President and Chief Technology officer. Turner comes to AMS from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was founder and partner in charge of the PwC Global Technology Center. AMS is an international business and information technology consulting firm.
