After receiving degrees at the Swiss Institute of Technology, Buerli worked for Photodyne and 3M. He has been working at RIFOCS since September 1997.

RIFOCS manufactures fiber optic test equipment and components.

Patrizio was senior vice president and general manager of Chromium Graphics Inc., a print technology and manufacturing company in San Diego, prior to his Disney appointment. Previously, he was a vice president at Universal Studios.

SMELTZER NAMED PRESIDENT: SDR See software defined radio.  Technologies recently announced the appointment of Donald Smeltzer as president of the Westlake Village-based company that specializes in developing systems for Internet-based political campaign finance filings.

Prior to joining SDR, Smeltzer managed numerous multimillion-dollar projects at Sciences Applications International Corp.
