DCC (1) (Direct Cable Connection) A Windows 95/98 feature that allows PCs to be cabled together for data transfer. DCC actually sets up a network connection between the two machines.  ADDS DIRECTORS: DCC Compact Classics Inc. recently added four new directors to the Chatsworth company's board.

The new directors are: Carl LoBue, chairman of LoBue Associates; Leonard Hecht, president of Chrysalis Capital Group; Daniel Montano, managing director of investment banking for C & K Capital Corp.; and Martin M. Cooper, president of Cooper Communication Inc.

Cooper, a public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  specialist, was elected chairman.

All four have experience in financing and/or high-tech start-up companies. DCC has three operating subsidiaries: A classic-pop record label, a division which sells its patented camera, and a line of audio books.

McCRARY PROMOTED AT WELLPOINT: Louise McCrary, vice president, chief accounting officer and controller of WellPoint Health Networks, was promoted recently to senior vice president.

Among her responsibilities, McCrary will oversee all financial reporting, accounting operations, corporate accounting and procurement, and corporate subsidiary accounting for the Woodland Hills-based company.

Before her appointment at Wellpoint, McCrary spent more than 12 years in public accounting at Coopers & Lybrand.

SCHILLER NAMED DISNEY VP: Scott Schiller has been named vice president of advertising and sponsorship sales for Disney Online, it was announced by the Burbank-based company.

Schiller, who has worked at Sony Online Ventures, Prodigy and MTV Networks, will be leading all advertising and sponsorship efforts for Disney Online.

BURT JOINS WELLPOINT: Carol J. Burt was recently appointed senior vice president of finance and treasury at WellPoint Health Network in Woodland Hills.

Before joining Wellpoint, Burt was senior vice president of finance and treasury for American Medical Response American Medical Response, Inc. (AMR) is the largest private ambulance provider in the United States. AMR and EmCare are wholly owned subsidiaries of EMSC L.P., an emergency management company held by the investment firm Onex. AMR is based out of Greenwood Village, Colorado.  Inc., a Denver-based provider of medical transportation and emergency physician practice management services.

 BOARD: Stan Kinsey, the founder and former CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Burbank-based Iwerks, was recently named a board member of NTN Network. Carlsbad-based NTN produces interactive television and Internet programming.

CRATER JOINS UNION BANK: Teresa Lea Crater recently joined Union Bank of California Union Bank of California is one of the 30 largest commercial banks in the United States. It has 327 branches, the majority of which are in San Diego, Los Angeles and Orange Counties.  as a vice president in bank card administration. She is the compliance manager and is based at the bank's Panorama City office.

Before joining UBOC UBOC Union Bank of California , Crater served as vice president and compliance manager for First Interstate Bank.

BERKMAN APPOINTED EXECUTIVE VP: Cheryl Berkman was recently named executive vice president of Music Express Limousine Co.

Berkman has been employed by the Burbank-based company since 1992.

ELIOT APPOINTED EXECUTIVE VP: Daniel Eliot was recently appointed executive vice president of commercial and business banking at First Federal Bank of California The Bank of California was founded in San Francisco, California on July 5, 1864 by William Chapman Ralston. It was the first commercial bank in the Western United States, the second-richest bank in the nation, and considered instrumental in developing the American Old West. .

Eliot will focus on small- to medium-size businesses in the greater Los Angeles area The Greater Los Angeles Area, or the Southland, is the agglomeration of urbanized area around the city of Los Angeles, California, United States. There are two "official" definitions—the Los Angeles metropolitan area consisting only of the Los Angeles and Orange .

LUBIENIECKI PROMOTED AT E & Y: Edward Lubieniecki was recently promoted to partner in the Los Angeles office of E & Y Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate, the real estate arm of Ernst & Young.

Among Lubieniecki's recent accomplishments was advising Foundation Health and Pacificare on their recent merger.
