CALIFORNIAMART PICKS NEW CEO:Susan Scheimann was appointed to the position of president and CEO of CaliforniaMart, the largest apparel and accessory mart in the country. Scheimann joined the 3 million square foot complex located in the center of the Los Angeles Fashion District in 1984 as executive director of marketing. NEW VP AT CHICAGO TITLE: Eric Swenson has been elected vice president, Chicago Title Insurance Co. He will continue to report to William Halvorsen, senior vice president, Chicago Title Insurance Co. Swenson joined the firm in 1995 as manager, Southern California Commercial/Industrial and Subdivision operations. DCC COMPACT CLASSICS NAMES DIRECTORS: Four new directors have been appointed to the board of Chatsworth-based DCC Compact Classics, the producer of gold CDs and manufacturer of the Caption Camera. They are: Leonard Hecht, president of Chrysalis Capital Group; Daniel Montano, managing director of investment banking for C & K Capital Corp.; Martin M. Cooper, president of Cooper Communications Inc.; and Carl LoBue, chairman of LoBue Associates. WELLPOINT PROMOTION:Louise McCrary was promoted to senior vice president of Woodland Hills-based WellPoint Health Networks. She will report to CFO David C. Colby. McCrary will be responsible for all financial reporting, accounting operations, corporate accounting, procurement, corporate subsidiary accounting, merger and acquisition financial integration, legal entities, financial data management and financial systems. Before her position at WellPoint, she spent more than 12 years in public accounting at Coopers & Lybrand. SCHILLER VP AT DISNEY ONLINE:Scott Schiller has been named vice president of advertising and sponsorship sales for North Hollywood-based Disney Online. Schiller will lead all advertising and sponsorship efforts for Disney Online products, creating online media and marketing opportunities for consumer marketers. Schiller's most recent position was vice president of advertising and partnership marketing for Sony Online Ventures. He is one of the original founders and board members of the Internet Advertising Bureau, an industry advocacy group. CRATER JOINS UNION BANK: Teresa Lea Crater has joined Union Bank of California as a vice president in bank card administration. She is currently the compliance manager and is based at the bank's Panorama City office. Before joining UBOC, Crater served as vice president and compliance manager for the former First Interstate Bank in Los Angeles. BERKMAN ADVANCES AT MUSIC EXPRESS LIMOUSINE:Cheryl Berkman has been appointed executive vice president of Burbank-based Music Express Limousine Co. Berkman has been with the company since 1992 and her new duties will include supervision of all company departments. FIRST FEDERAL MAKES ELIOT VP:Daniel Eliot has been appointed executive vice president, commercial and business banking at First Federal Bank of California. In his new capacity, Eliot will focus on the development of loans and deposit relationships for small- to medium-sized businesses. He will also be responsible for commercial real estate. Before joining First Federal Bank, Eliot was senior vice president of entertainment/corporate finance for California United Bank in Encino. LUBIENIECKI PROMOTED:Edward Lubieniecki has been promoted to partner of the E & Y Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group in the Los Angeles office. Lubieniecki recently coordinated the merger integration efforts of two merging HMO organizations and has a background in corporate real estate, large-scale commercial and mixed-use projects and merger integration planning.
