Ifcher named V.P. at Disney Online

North Hollywood-based Disney Online has named Beth Ifcher vice president of consumer marketing. In the role, Ifcher's is responsible for generating traffic and subscriptions to Disney Online's Web sites.

Former mayor joins Bank of Hollywood

Larry Stamper has been elected to the board of directors of The Bank of Hollywood.

Stamper, a former mayor of Burbank and city councilman, is currently pastor of the Burbank First United Methodist Church First United Methodist Church is a common name for the first United Methodist church established in a particular locality. Many First United Methodist Churches exist around the world. . He is also a Burbank Kiwanis Club member and has served as chaplain of the Burbank Police Department The Burbank Police Department is the police department serving Burbank, California.

Gaymon is tabbed by Healthy America

Donald L. Gaymon, a veteran business executive and former educator, has been selected by Healthy America Campaign to serve as vice president.

Huntington Provider names Olson president

Sharon R. Olson has been appointed president for Huntington Provider Services.

With over 20 years of prior experience in managed care, Olson will provide strategic leadership to UniHealth's physician management subsidiary. UniMed is headquartered in Burbank; Huntington is one of Southern California's largest independent practice associations.

Reiley joins Optics 1 as senior engineer

Daniel J. Reiley was recently named to the post of senior optical engineer at Optics 1 Inc., a Westlake Village optical engineering firm.

Reiley has published several papers on applied optics Applied Optics is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Optical Society of America three times a month. Founded in 1963. The journal has four divisions of editorial scope: optical technology; information processing; lasers, photonics and environmental optics;  and optical engineering, and received a patent for an industrial instrumentation device that measures stress in transparent samples.

Reiley will be working on a Navy contract to build a head-mounted display that simulates real depth of field.

Gates named V.P. at Disney Interactive

Ann Gates was recently appointed vice president of business planning and development for Disney Interactive. Formerly vice president of finance for Disney Consumer Products North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. , Gates will be responsible for overseeing business development and the pursuit of new alliances for Disney Interactive.

Before joining Disney, Gates worked with Pepsico Inc., where she worked as senior manager of business development for KFC KFC Kentucky Fried Chicken (restaurant chain)

Bruen named chairman of credit union board

Charles Bruen, president and chief executive officer of First Entertainment Federal Credit Union in Hollywood, has been elected the 1997-98 chairman of the board of the California Credit Union League A credit union league (League) is a United States state-level trade association for credit unions, which are non-profit financial cooperatives. Credit union leagues hold a primary interest in the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). .

Bruen has more than 20 years of experience with credit unions.

Pinkerton's Brown named World Trade Week chairman

For the second consecutive year, Denis Denis, king of Portugal: see Diniz.  R. Brown, president and chief executive officer of Encino-based Pinkerton's Inc., has been appointed Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  chairman of the World Trade Week Executive Committee.

Pinkerton's is a supplier of contract security and investigation services with more than 220 offices in 22 countries.

Bronson named president of international marketing

As part of Universal Pictures' ongoing efforts to expand its presence in the global marketplace, Nadia Bronson has been promoted to president of international marketing.

A 20-year veteran of the Universal City-based company, Bronson has headed marketing and distribution for Universal films overseas. It achieved the second-largest share of the international market in 1996.
