BILBO APPOINTED V.P.: Mel Bilbo, a 30-year veteran of theme park management and marketing, has been appointed vice president and general manager of Disney Quest.

Prior to joining Disney, Bilbo spent 15 years with Busch Entertainment Corp. where he oversaw operations of all nine Anheuser-Busch theme parks.

DisneyQuest is a 100,000 square-foot, five-story facility with four distinct zones of entertainment, along with themed dining and retail.

McCALLION PROMOTED AT COUNTRYWIDE: Anne McCallion was promoted recently to managing director of human resources The fancy word for "people." The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees.  at Countrywide Home Loans, Inc., the nation's largest independent mortgage lender.

McCallion has served as director of human resources since June and is responsible for compensation and benefits, payroll, regulatory compliance and management development.

Prior to joining Countrywide, McCallion was on the technical staff of the Financial Accounting Standards Board Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)

PATTON LEADS BAR: John W. Patton, Jr., senior staff attorney with Woodland Hills-based Litton Industries, Inc., was installed recently as president of the Beverly Hills Bar Association. He is the first in-house corporate counsel to lead the association since its inception in 1931.
