PEOPLE IN BUSINESS : GOSFORD NAMED CREATIVE DIRECTOR.


Following a merger with Toronto-based Fabulous Footage, Studio City-based The Energy Film Library has named Alwyn Gosford its creative director. Gosford had held that post at Fabulous Footage.

In his new position, Gosford will oversee marketing of the company's library of stock film footage and will help determine what new footage is added to the library from contract producers and from the library's own film crew.

The Energy Film Library supplies stock film footage to moviemakers. Gosford said he plans to work with contract producers to improve the production value of their product and make it more relevant to moviemakers' needs.

Crane named

Cherie Crane has been named senior vice president of media at Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group in Culver City Culver City, city (1990 pop. 38,793), Los Angeles co., S Calif., a residential suburb of Los Angeles; inc. 1917. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) , PacBell Mobile Service and Korean Airlines.

Crane will devise and implement media strategies for the studio's new releases and interface with its advertising agency, McCannErickson. Columbia TriStar is a Sony Pictures Entertainment company.

Grubb & Ellis add staffers

Grubb & Ellis Company recently hired Dennis Marciniak and Mark Rauch for its north Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  office.

NATPE NATPE National Association of Television Programming Executives  announces

numerous promotions

Santa Monica-based NATPE, a nonprofit group that lobbies for improved television programming worldwide, recently announced numerous promotions.

Susan Davis was elevated to the position of vice president for seminars. In her new role Davis will be responsible for production of panels, general sessions and other forums at the association's annual program conference and other trade shows.

Shirley Neal has been upped to vice president of video production. Neal, like Davis, had been a director at NATPE and will continue to manage her own company, Park Hill Entertainment, which specializes in video marketing, program development and post-production.

NATPE also has appointed Bonnie Landau to the position of manager for creative services from her current job as art and production manager. Before joining NATPE, Ladau served as print editor at the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, founded by filmmaker Steven Spielberg.

Maria Moscowitz has been promoted from exhibition sales coordinator to exhibition sales manager. In the new job she will work on exhibitor prospect development.
