 PENNSYLVANIA LIQUOR CONTROL BOARD HOLDS
 LICENSING INFORMATION SEMINARS FOR BUSINESSES
HARRISBURG, Pa., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Licensing Information Seminars, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB), attracted close to 600 liquor licensees to the Holiday Inn Parkway East in Pittsburgh today.
The workshops are providing licensees in southwestern Pennsylvania the opportunity to meet with representatives of the PLCB, the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement and the Office of Administrative Law Judge.
"The vast majority of the state's 20,000 licensees operate their establishments in a responsible manner," said Chairman James A. Goodman. "These seminars are designed to assist licensees by providing answers to questions about licensing procedure, legal interpretations of the state's liquor laws and the penalties for violating the law," he said.
In addition to panel discussions, the seminars offer a presentation by the Pennsylvania DUI Association, and speakers on responsible beverage service and how to spot a fake I.D.
The PLCB is offering a series of these seminars across the state as a means of developing a better working relationship with licensees. The first, held in Grantville, Dauphin County, last month, also attracted a large turnout.
A seminar for licensees in the southeastern portion of the state is scheduled for Nov. 24 at the Valley Forge Sheraton. Others are planned for the northeast and northwest sections of the state in early 1993.
