 PENNDOT ISSUES TRAFFIC ALERTS
 PITTSBURGH, March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Department


of Transportation (PennDOT) today issued the following traffic alerts:
 -- Fort Pitt Bridge - Pittsburgh:
 Saturday, March 21, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., traffic on the ramp from the Fort Pitt Bridge to Monroeville, Pa., will be restricted to one lane during impact attenuator repairs.
 -- Business Route 22 - Churchill, Monroeville, Wilkins Township:
 Beginning Wednesday, March 25, at 7 a.m. and continuing through May, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Business Route 22 from the Parkway to Route 48 during milling and resurfacing operations, drainage and median repairs, and signal work.
 -- Chestnut Street and Forsythe Road - Carnegie Borough:
 Beginning Monday, March 30, at 9 a.m. and continuing around the clock through September, Forsythe Road will be closed between Academy Street and Woodruff Avenue during road reconstruction and bridge replacement. Local access north of the bridge will be provided via Wabash and Patterson avenues. Access for Woodruff Avenue, south of the bridge, will be provided via Forsythe Road. The suggested northbound detour is Greentree Road to Washington Avenue to Academy Street. The southbound detour is Lydia Street to Washington Avenue and Greentree Road. Forsythe Road will be open from Greentree Road to Carnegie Park and Forsythe Mini Golf.
 -- Second Avenue/Irvine Street - Pittsburgh:
 Beginning Monday, March 23, and continuing through July, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays, traffic on Second Avenue/Irvine Street between Greenfield and Glenwood avenues will be reduced to single lane, alternating, during milling and resurfacing operations. Motorists seeking an alternate route are advised to travel Route 837 (East Carson Street).
 -- Walnut Street - Clairton:
 Monday, March 23, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., traffic on Walnut Street between Seventh and Eighth streets will be reduced to one lane, alternating, during core boring operations.
 -- Walnut Street - Sewickley:
 Monday, March 23, at 8 a.m., Walnut Street in Sewickley will be closed around the clock for one month as part of reconstruction work that began earlier this month on Ohio River Boulevard from Bank Street at the Bank Building to White Street. The project includes construction of a turning lane to Walnut Street. Motorists are advised to detour via Bank Street to Broad Street to Frederick Street.
 -- Route 28 - O'Hara Township, Fox Chapel Borough, Pittsburgh:
 Beginning Monday, March 23, at 9 a.m., and continuing around the clock through July, traffic on Route 28 between Delafield Road and the Blawnox exits, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction during concrete pavement patching and minor drainage repairs. The inside lanes will be closed both inbound and outbound.
 In addition, beginning Monday, March 23, drainage and resurfacing work will be performed on the following roads in Beaver County. Traffic will be maintained for the duration of this $2 million project, through August.
 -- Ridgemont Road between Lisbon Road and Tuscarawas Road
 -- Braun Road between Route 51 and Mannal Drive
 -- Freedom Criders Road between Route 989 and the Beaver/Butler County line
 -- McCleary Road between Route 18 and Tate Road
 All work schedules are subject to weather conditions.
