PENNDOT: CONGESTION, DELAYS ON I-95, WOODHAVEN ROAD, I-76, U.S. 202
 ST. DAVIDS, Pa., May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Construction activities on Interstate 95 and Woodhaven Road (State Route 63) in Bensalem Township (Bucks County) speeds up next week with a resulting increase in traffic congestion and delays, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said today.
 At the same time, routine maintenance work on I-95, I-76 and U.S. Route 202 will affect motorists using these highways in Philadelphia and Chester County.
 Starting Monday and continuing through Friday (May 18-22), crews will be installing concrete barrier on I-95 North and South and on parts of Woodhaven Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and after 6 p.m. each day.
 Crews also will be intermittently closing one lane at a time on I-95 South and on Woodhaven Road to complete the shoulder paving from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.
 On Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the traffic lines on U.S. Route 13 (Bristol Pike) between Street Road (State Route 132) and Woodhaven Road will be repainted, including several intersections that will have temporary traffic signals controlling left-hand turns.
 Final preparations for closing and detouring the on-ramp from eastbound Woodhaven Road to I-95 North for approximately seven months will start at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 20. The work is expected to be done and the ramp closed prior to the start of the afternoon peak commuter hour. At the same time, the ramps from I-95 South to northbound Route 13 and from northbound Route 13 to I-95 South will be permanently closed. Traffic will use existing ramps to make the moves.
 Philadelphia maintenance crews also will be working on I-95 South between Academy Road and Allegheny Avenue in Philadelphia Monday and Tuesday (May 18-19) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for road patching. In addition, drain cleaning will be taking place in the right shoulder of I-95 North between Broad Street and the South Jersey exit Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
 Starting eastbound, crews will be cleaning inlets on I-76 between South Street and Passyunk Avenue Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
 In Chester County, one lane of U.S. Route 202 North will be closed for paving between State Routes 401 and 29 in East Whiteland Township Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
 Road patching also is scheduled on Route 202 North and South between Matlack Street and the Montgomery County line in East and West Goshen, East Whiteland and Tredyffrin townships Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. One lane at a time will be closed.
