PECO TO CALL TWO MORTGAGE BOND ISSUES

 PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Philadelphia Electric Company (NYSE: PE) (PE) announced today that it will call two of its mortgage bond issues.
 The two issues to be called are the $100 Million 7-1/2 percent Series due 1999 at 101.50 percent and $48 Million 7-3/4 percent Series due 2000 at 101.70 percent. The issues will be called on Dec. 15, 1993 and accrued interest up to that date will be paid separately.
