PEC Solutions Awarded $6 Million Extension to Support Major Judiciary Program.

Company Will Continue Development and Implementation Services for
Flagship Case Management and Electronic Filing Systems
PEC Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ NM:PECS) announced today that the Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC) exercised an option to extend the company's task order to assist in the development and implementation of a new case management and electronic case filing systems (CM/ECF).
The option is valued at $6 million and will fund support during the Government's next fiscal year.
This work is being performed under PEC's Judiciary Multiple Award Services for Information Technology Technical Services contract. The company will assist the AOUSC in its implementation, development, testing and program management functions from facilities in Washington, D.C., and San Antonio, Texas.
The CM/ECF systems will replace the current legacy case management system and will be used by nearly 200 appellate, district, and bankruptcy courts nationwide. The new systems will improve court business processes and workflow and will permit courts, lawyers and litigants to utilize new and secure electronic filing capabilities using the Internet.
The CM/ECF systems will reduce administrative burdens for court personnel and will support more timely administration of justice throughout the United States.
