PEACH BOTTOM SIREN TEST SCHEDULED FEB. 5

PEACH BOTTOM SIREN TEST SCHEDULED FEB. 5
PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- All 77 emergency warning sirens

in the Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ) around Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station will be sounded at the same time on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 1992.
The test will take place at 1 p.m. and will last about three minutes. The sirens are controlled by emergency management officials in Chester, Lancaster and York counties in Pennsylvania, and Cecil and Harford counties in Maryland.
Residents are not expected to take any action and emergency organizations will not respond to the tests. There will be no radio broadcast messages on the Emergency Broadcast Stations.
The sirens are tested routinely on the first Wednesday of every month, to evaluate the working order of the system.
In the case of a real emergency, the sirens would sound for three to five minutes, alerting residents to listen to Emergency Broadcast System radio or television broadcasts for information and instructions.
