Warmer ocean waters, great food and music, and lots of crafts and contests will keep most folks more than busy. And the beauty of the three-day holiday weekend is that once the sun and fun have all been won, Memorial Day services Monday provide an opportunity to remember those who fought for that freedom. The Rhythm Rangers will play at the Carousel Lawn from 1 to 5 p.m. today, while the the Ventura Drumline Band will play rhythm and blues at the Village Lawn from 1 to 3 p.m. On Sunday, the seven-piece band Enuff Said plays rhythm and blues, and rock and roll, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Village Lawn, while jazz lovers can listen to the Henry Franklin Henry "Skipper" Franklin is an American jazz double-bassist born in Los Angeles, California in 1940 who is the son of jazz trumpeter Sammy Franklin. Franklin played on Hugh Masekela's 1968 number one single, "Grazing in the Grass," as well as with Masekela's band at the Monterey Trio from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Carousel Lawn. On Monday, the Henry Franklin Trio returns from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Fountain Lawn, while country singer Teresa Russel performs at the Village Lawn from 1 to 5 p.m. Frank Umbro and Buck Page Buck Page (June 18, 1922 — August 21, 2006) founded the first western band known as Riders of the Purple Sage. The finals will be followed by an afternoon awards ceremony at 4:30. The tournament will be held at the Field Hockey Sports Grounds at Moorpark College, on Campus Park Drive. Fallen servicemen and women will be honored with music, speakers and a fly-over by the Confederate Air Force vintage warplane club at the Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo. The hourlong memorial service will begin at 11 a.m., and includes a special ceremony in memory of slain bankteller, Monica Lynn Leech, who is buried at the cemetery.
