Steve Deppe, who has been leading APG, will take on corporate responsibilities for Strategic and Business Development. In that capacity he will be responsible for the company's acquisitions, long-range strategy, and marketing. One immediate objective will be the acceleration of our activities in China and other non-U.S. markets. Deppe was responsible for establishing the company's manufacturing presence in Tianjin.

"Our new structure is a natural organization around two separate business missions," said Marty Singer, PCTEL's Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. . "We have strong wireless broadband interests and technology and we need to aggressively grow our business in antennas and receivers. Organizing around our wireless broadband technology is particularly important as we invest in the emerging WiMAX opportunity. At the same time, we need to sharpen our customer and product focus on the exciting software business and accelerate our penetration of new markets," added Singer.

Over the past five years, PCTEL has evolved from a soft modem, commodity business to an operation focused on the emergence of pervasive wireless broadband. The company's market cap has grown from $120 million in October, 2001 to more than $240 million at current stock values. Wireless products such as antennas, specialized scanning receivers, and connectivity software drive PCTEL's revenues. The company acquired five businesses, divested its modem operation, and successfully asserted its modem patents in implementing this transition.

The company's management will discuss its new organization at its previously scheduled earnings release conference call that is scheduled for Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 5:15 PM CDT CDT
