PCS Wireless Inc. announces CFO appointment.
Murphy worked for Canadian Airlines International Ltd., a company with revenues of approximately $3 billion, and its predecessor companies, in various financial management roles for the last 20 years, most recently as senior vice president, Finance and senior restructuring officer.
Ralph Scobie, president & CEO stated, "David has extensive experience in capital markets and international financing. He fills an important role in the strategic management of PCS Wireless at this critical juncture in time as we rapidly expand our business into telecommunications markets worldwide."
As part of Murphy's overall compensation plan, he has granted a stock option in the amount of 200,000 shares of the company, exercisable on or before May 25, 2000 at a price of $3.82 per share. The grant of the option is subject to Vancouver Stock Exchange approval.
