Stephen Randolph Stephen LeCharles Randolph (born May 1, 1974 in Okinawa, Japan) is a left-handed pitcher in the Houston Astros organization of Major League Baseball. He pitched for the Arizona Diamondbacks in and . looked lost as reliever, but he is carving himself a niche in the Albuquerque Isotopes' rotation.

The Pacific Coast League (PCL) is a minor league baseball league operating in the West and Midwest of the United States. It is one of two leagues, along with the International League, playing at the Triple-A level, which is one step below baseball at The Dell Diamond on Saturday.

Randolph, in just his fourth start, breezed through five hitless innings before Reggie Abercrombie grounded a single to center field to break up the no-hit bid to lead off the sixth. Randolph (2-2) exited after 93 pitches, with five strikeouts and three walks.
In four starts totaling 18 innings, Randolph has allowed just two runs. As a reliever, he had a 13.19 earned-run average.
The duo of Hyang-Nam Choi and Scott Strickland kept the Express hitless the rest of the way. An Abercrombie walk to open the ninth was the only baserunner for Round Rock after the sixth. Strickland posted his ninth save.
Albuquerque got on the scoreboard in the first, as Mitch Jones' double scored Chin-lung Hu for 1-0. Jones added a two-run home run -- his 21st -- in the fifth to complete the scoring. Jones was 2-for-4 with three RBIs on the evening, while Juan Gonzalez was 2-for-3 with a run scored.
