PCAOB rules on investigations, registration withdrawal.


The PCAOB PCAOB Public Company Accounting Oversight Board  has adopted rules on investigations and adjudications ADJUDICATIONS, Scotch law. Certain proceedings against debtors, by way of actions, before the court of sessions and are of two kinds, special and general.
     2.-1. By statute 1672, c.
, as well as rules on registration withdrawals.

At a Sept. 29 board meeting, the PCAOB adopted rules governing gov·ern

 investigations and hearing procedures, as well as setting out sanctions Sanctions is the plural of sanction. Depending on context, a sanction can be either a punishment or a permission. The word is a contronym.

Sanctions involving countries:
 the board may impose.

The PCAOB also adopted rules governing the process by which a firm can withdraw its registration with the board.

In related news, the PCAOB recently said it has repaid the $20.3 million startup funding it received from the Treasury. The board now will receive its funding from fees assessed on public companies.
