The "K2" 987 also comes with a built-in 300k PC camera, ideal for videoconferencing among other uses, as well as an HDTV (High Definition TV) A set of digital television (DTV) standards that offer the highest resolution and sharpest picture. Although some HDTV sets are available in standard (rather square) screen sizes, the overwhelming majority of sets are wide screen, which eliminates  output and an S-video port with TV tuner option that effectively turns the laptop into a portable television set.

Named after the K2 mountain peak in the Himalayas, the "K2" 987 is designed to occupy the high end of PC Laptops' product line as a top-level desktop replacement and ultimate gaming computer. The 987 replaces PC Laptops' 17-inch Annihilator 897, which was named "fastest notebook on the planet" by Mobile PC Magazine. By replacing the Annihilator, the "K2" 987 is the new "fastest notebook" title contender.

"The 'K2' 987 puts all other laptops to shame when it comes to speed and performance," said Dan "The Laptop Man" Young, president of PC Laptops. "There is nothing that even comes close to the 'K2' 987, whether it is used for gaming, multimedia, business or academic applications. Everything else pales in comparison. Plus, beyond getting a screaming system, you also get PC Laptops' absolutely amazing lifetime service guarantee. You can't go wrong with the 'K2' 987."

As with all PC Laptops models, the "K2" 987 is fully customizable to fit a customer's exact needs, and includes RAID 0 and 1 hard drive configurations, which are ideal for business applications and gaming needs. All told, the "K2" 987 is available with many configurations and options.

Included with all PC Laptops systems, the lifetime service guarantee includes quarterly tune-ups complete with vital software updates to the computer, a physical cleaning, spyware removal and so on. Also, PC Laptops performs an overall evaluation to identify ways to enhance and improve performance when the computer is brought in to a retail location, such as defragmenting the hard drive, dumping cache and checking for and installing additional updates. More information regarding the service guarantee, including "oops protection," data recovery services, trade-in and payment options can also be found by contacting PC Laptops directly at www.pclaptops.com.
