The name change comes on the heels of two recent additions: SRI Consulting's Chemical Business Division and Chemical Week Associates.

"Given the expanding nature of both the products and the markets served," a press release stated, "it is the right time to rename Re`name´

 PBI Media to more accurately reflect the company's position as a premiere global information company."

The PBI Media name derives from the 2000 acquisition of Phillips Business Information by two private equity affiliates of Veronis Suhler Stevenson, a merchant bank dedicated to the media, communications and information industries.

"By creating a business with equal revenue streams coming from information and media/marketing, AI has positioned itself to take advantage of the stability historically associated with high-value information businesses," Pazour said.

"Simultaneously, we continue to invest in media and marketing and are positioned to take full advantage as ad sales dollars come back into the market."

Access Intelligence has five divisions--Aviation Group, Defense, Electronic Payments, Media Group, and Telecommunications--which publish more than four dozen leading newsletters. They include:

* Air Safety Week ($1,097/yr)

* Defense Daily ($1,897/yr)

* PR News (weekly, $597/yr)

* Media Industry Newsletter (min), (weekly, $795/yr)

* Satellite News (weekly, $1,097/yr).
