PATROL Solutions for Windows 2000 is expected to be available in May. BMC Software monitors all standard items in Windows 2000, including the Active Directory, while also providing tools such as reporting and configuration to help customers monitor and manage their environment. Monitoring tools include Quickview, a Microsoft Management Console A Windows NT/2000 feature that provides a common environment for running management software from Microsoft and third parties. Any type of administration service such as network management, antivirus management, disk management and authentication can be created as a Microsoft Management  that allows users to view PATROL; a control panel configuration tool and PATROL Adapter for Microsoft Office, which allows users to import data from an agent into Excel allowing for more extensive reporting. BMC Software for Windows 2000 can be installed through a single installation process using one CD to implement all components on a server at one time. Should customers choose, they may install the solutions using typical, minimal or full installation. Pricing for the PATROL for Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and PATROL for Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server will begin at approximately $785.
