 PATHE CONCEDES FORGED EVIDENCE
CULVER CITY, Calif, Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The following was

issued today by MGM-Pathe Communications:
Conceding that one of the pieces of evidence it introduced in court was fabricated, Pathe Communications Corp. today told the Delaware Chancery Court that it would not contest that assertion by Credit Lyonnais Bank Nederland, N.V. In a hearing today, Chancellor William T. Allen of the Delaware Chancery Court denied an attempt by Giancarlo Parretti and Pathe Communications to delay the scheduled Dec. 18, 1991 hearing to determine whether or not the letter Parretti testified about was a fabrication.
Howard Weitzman, legal counsel for MGM-Pathe, said there was evidence of possible perjury that could result in criminal charges, since Parretti "knowingly testified using evidence we believe was fabricated in an attempt to bolster his own case."
Pathe's alleged third party investor, a so-called "Saudi Prince," is "reminiscent of another famed exotic Parretti investor, the King of Malta, whose check never arrived in the mail," Weitzman said.
MGM-Pathe Communications Co. is involved in the worldwide production and distribution of motion pictures and television programs and operates theatre chains in the U.K. and Europe.
