PARTY LINES : IT'S ALL FOR ONE AT MARRIOTT LUNCHEON EVENT.

Byline: Barbara De Witt De Witt, uninc. town (1990 pop. 8,244), Onondaga co., central N.Y., a residential suburb of Syracuse.

Gala gowns and tuxedos got a workout this week.

The social season ends in June, so the city's umpteen charitable organizations are hurrying to raise funds and honor supporters while they have a captive audience.

In those days we held a luncheon at someone's home and the committee cooked everything,'' she explained.

The ONE luncheon was an opportunity to visit with old friends, such as ``Happy Days'' mom Marion Ross Marion Ross (born October 25, 1928) is a Golden Globe-nominated American actress.

After a luncheon menu of chicken breasts, salmon and dark chocolate cake, we were treated to a fashion show by Valley stores Georgiou, L.A. Babes and A La Popcorn, modeled by community leaders and club volunteers.

Before the afternoon was over, executive director Marilyn Fried presented the Civic Leadership Award to U.S. Rep. Brad Sherman Bradley J. Songwriter Diane Warren received the Legacy Award from Ross, and the Daily News received the Community Service Award, presented by David Auger, former Daily News publisher who is now vice president and general manager of Time Warner Communications. His company, as well as Western Bagel and CalFed Bank, were sponsors of the affair.

A few hours later, the Otis College of Art and Design The school's programs, accredited by WASC and National Association of Schools of Art and Design, include four-year degrees in the typical art school fare: illustration, fine arts, graphic design, architecture, landscape design, interior design, and fashion design as well as newer fields  had its annual gala to honor its fashion designers of tomorrow.

The creative black-tie gala was held at the Beverly Hilton hotel. North Hollywood student Bao Tranchi was presented with the Henry Duarte Scholarship, the school's Leadership Award went to Brian Devine of Petco Animal Supplies, and its Fashion Achievement Award was presented to Bob McKnight of Quiksilver Inc.

However, Anjelica Huston played hostess at the Artists' Right Foundation and Film Foundation benefit. She read a note from the recently hospitalized Bertolucci, saying his film (it opens in selected theaters on Friday) was the least expensive ($3 million) he'd ever made, the quickest (shot in 28 days) and the shortest (90 minutes), so film critics should love it.

Among the guests were actors Kelly Preston, Lauren Holly, Ben Kingsley and Lynn Redgrave, who was stunning in a bright red sheath and coat. ``It's by Marina Rinaldi, and I love it. But then, I'm a fan of all things Italian, including food and fashion. And I worked for Franco Zeffirelli for my Italian connection,'' she said with a chuckle.

Designer Rinaldi, who works for the house of Max Mara, which underwrote the event, was there, too, excited to see celebs such as Redgrave in her clothes.

She's also dressing several full-figured stars these days, including comedian and talk-show host Roseanne and ``The Practice'' star Camryn Manheim. On the subject of larger sizes, she noted, ``You can't Ajust make something bigger and expect it to look the same. We make 1,000 garments a season, with specific designs for specific figure types, and we use fabrics that drape drape
