HOW LONG WAS IT FROM CONCEPT TO OPENING? 13 months.

WHAT DID YOU DO DURING THAT TIME? I found a highly qualified partner to be vice president/chief financial officer. We then got our license and insurance. After many trips to Asia, we chose Thailand because of their Western-trained, highly-skilled physicians.

WHAT WERE YOUR STARTUP COSTS AND HOW DID YOU FINANCE THE BUSINESS? $100,000. We used our own money and we took out a small-business loan.

WHO DID YOU RELY ON FOR ADVICE? Aside from extensive research and support from family and friends, I put together a team of highly qualified professionals in both the health and travel industries.

WHAT HADN'T YOU CONSIDERED BEFORE OPENING? The 14-hour workdays and the increasingly high costs for advertising.

WHAT IS YOUR EXPECTED REVENUE THIS YEAR? $225,000
