PARTICIPANTS SOUGHT FOR 8TH TASTE OF TOWN.

Byline: Daily News

The Santa Clarita Child & Family Development Center is seeking area restaurants and caterers interested in participating in the eighth annual Taste of the Town scheduled for May 5 at the Piru Mansion.

About 600 guests are expected at the outdoor fund-raiser, where participants are invited to taste culinary specialties supplied by guest chefs. Taste of the Town also gives caterers and restaurants a chance to showcase their menus.

The theme of this year's garden party is "Fiesta '96," and the event will include a silent auction.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the development center's therapeutic preschool as well as its child and family counseling programs.

Tickets are $50 a person and can be reserved by calling the center at 259-9439. Those interested in serving food at Taste of the Town may call Pam McGuire at 297-3095. Anyone wishing to donate items or services for the auction may call Claudia Bruns at 255-6847, Ext. 3023.
