PARK AIMS TO SHORTEN RIDE LINES.

Byline: Dave McNary Staff Writer

Universal Studios Hollywood is considering a program that would eliminate long waits for its most popular rides, a spokesman said Wednesday.

No timetable has been set for going ahead with the plan, which could resemble Disneyland's week-old FastPass system. Universal spokesman Jim Yeager said the rollout of FastPass was unrelated to Universal's current consideration of a system that would give customers pre-assigned times for attractions.

Universal's most popular ride is Terminator (1) A character that ends a string of alphanumeric characters.

The studio tour, which costs $39 for adults, draws an estimated 5.1 million visitors annually while the adjacent CityWalk entertainment complex attracts close to 5 million.
