 PARENTING MAGAZINE NAMES NEW EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
 SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Steven Reddicliffe is


Parenting's new editor-in-chief, it was announced today by Robin Wolaner, the magazine's president and founder. David Markus, who has been editor-in-chief of Parenting since 1987, will join the Time Inc. Ventures (TIV) development team.
 Reddicliffe has been with Time Inc.'s Entertainment Weekly since before its launch in February 1990, most recently as its general editor. His broad publishing background includes senior editorial posts at Self and Us as well as reporting for Baltimore News-American, Dallas Times Herald, and The Miami Herald, among others. He will relocate to San Francisco, with his wife Connie and their two-year-old triplets, Rebecca, Anna, and James.
 Patenting publisher Carol A. Smith commented, "Steve's ideas and leadership abilities are a perfect match for Parenting as we near the million mark in circulation. David is leaving the magazine in great shape and in great hands."
 In making today's announcement, Wolaner said, "David's achievements over the past six years make up an impressive list. Although his role has shifted to TIV development projects, he'll always remain part of the Parenting family."
 Aimed at an audience of sophisticated mothers and fathers, Parenting is informed and enlightened voice on the subject of raising children. The monthly magazine has a total readership of nearly 6.5 million and a circulation rate base of 875,000.
 Parenting is published by Time Publishing Ventures, a unit of Time Inc. Ventures. Time Inc. Ventures is the Time Inc. subsidiary that includes all of Time Inc.'s worldwide development activities as well as its regional and special interest magazine businesses.
