PARAMOUNT DOMESTIC TELEVISION PROMOTES LACHMAN TO SENIOR VP

 HOLLYWOOD, March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Clifford Lachman has been named senior vice president, programming and production, for Paramount Domestic Television, it was announced today by Frank Kelly, president of creative affairs and first-run programming or the division.
 Lachman, promoted from vice president, production, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production of the division's programs, including the upcoming "John & Leeza" series for NBC, as well as "Entertainment Tonight," "Hard Copy," "The Arsenio Hall Show" and "The Maury Povich Show" for first-run syndication.
 "We are delighted that Cliff earned this promotion and can continue to contribute to our division's success," Kelly said.
 Prior to serving as vice president, production, from 1989-1993, Lachman had been with "Entertainment Tonight" for eight years since its launch in 1981, becoming coordinating producer in 1987. In that position, he oversaw all physical production for the show, including its domestic and international bureaus. In addition, he was responsible for financial planning and stage operations.
 Prior to that, Lachman was executive-in-charge for two years. He served as production manager since 1983, during which time he collaborated with the associate producer in planning and executing the show's move to the Paramount lot from TAV Studios. He served as a location manager and field director since 1981.
 Prior to joining Paramount, Lachman was a freelance production manager.
 Lachman attended the University of California at Santa Cruz. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America.
